Series of talks to save Tong’s tombs

THE CHURCH in Tong are planning a series of talks over the coming year to raise the profile of their wonderful mediaeval tombs and also to raise money to help pay for their conservation.

Their first event is on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 3pm when Dr Paul Edmondson from the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust will give a talk on “Shakespeare and the Dickens Collection”.

Tong Church is also seeking Heritage Lottery funding - which is only possible to obtain if the church raises funds itself towards this worthy cause.
