Ann Hathaway – Lesley Smith
Lesley Smith, Elizabethan women's historian, has gathered together the threads of the recorded life of  William Shakespeare, his wife Ann Hathaway, their home and their children. Lesley uses these to present an extraordinary concept of what Ann Hathaway might have been like.

Watermills in the West Midlands – Timothy Booth
Tim is a member of the Midland Mills Group.  He has been researching the history of watermills for the last forty years.


Tuesday Nov 17th
The Stafford Regiment in the Great War – World War I Re-enactment group
At this time of Remembrance Edwin Field and his colleagues will re-enact the service of the Staffs regiment in the First World War.

A journey from Bridgnorth following the River Severn to its mouth and everything inbetween.

Tuesday Jan 19th
The Development of the Landscape in Mediaeval England – James Bond, a Landscape Archaeologist  and a former colleague of  Mick Aston at Birmingham University, is an expert on the landscapes of Medieval England and  a professional lecturer.

Tuesday Feb 16th
Black Country Trams – Dr Paul Collins
Paul is a Conservation officer for South Staffs District Council. He is an historian and industrial archaeologist and has done in depth research and written books on local history.

The National Memorial Arboretum – Roger Halwood
Roger is the principal guide at the Arboretum and will be our guide as he talks about his slides.

Tuesday May 18th
The Severn Valley Railway – Clive Smith
Clive is a major contributor to the running of the SVR as a guide and a lecturer. He will bring us up to date with developments on the railway, including the new engine sheds at Arley.
